How the PDA system works
- Any new job coming into the back office can be instantly transferred directly to the drivers PDA
- Controllers can monitor job status with immediately visible job acceptance
- Jobs are despatched to the nearest driver’s PDA who accepts the job by clicking one button (guided to each location if using satellite navigation)
- On arrival the driver delivers, collects the signature,via his PDA and sends it to the back office (real time proof of delivery)
- The back office can now send the driver the next available job near to their current location
- The solution reduces communication costs, no need to phone drivers asking for location or progress information. Remote staff can receive or update jobs electronically, providing a professional job management system.
